Black Bean Soup and Chicken yumminess

There is no way there's not a name for what I made tonight with the
chix from last week. It's just too good. Started with bacon, added
onion and garlic, chix stock, frozen peas, sundried tomatoes, fresh
mushrooms, pasta water (fully starched), heavy cream, and romano
cheese freshly grated. There has to be a name for it, I just don't
know what the name is, other than, well,
YUMMY YUMMY SCHLURP!

note: yesterday was Elvis' birthday. Dru loves Elvis sandwiches. I
made one for Ernie. He didn't care for it. So at Dinner, Ernie said
he didn't want any if it had bacon in it. Dru proclaimed that Ernie
didn't like bacon, as he was devouring this dish. Meanwhile, Evelyn
was shouting, Bacon bacon bacon!!!!

Chicken schlurprise

this was a yummy thing I made. We often roast chickens on weekends,
then have cooked chicken to work with through the week. 1/2 chicken,
capers, dried mushrooms (that I boiled in the pasta water, to also add
a layer of flavor to the pasta) added a handful or two of peas,
sundried tomatoes, roux, garlic, chicken stock and some romano.

Trout, Rice, Naan, Shallot/garlic asparagus

This was our first try making naan. It worked pretty well. Flavor was
there, but we need to work on the size. Not letting it proof while
going to pick up car, then son from bus, yada yada, will probably
help. The trout was cooked perfectly, as were the blanched/shocked
asparagus. The rice is a standby - and so _pretty_

Yummy yummy schlurp!
